Stainless steel, dark millwork, and matte finishes are unforgiving of both dust and careless cleaning technique.

Practical Implications

Schedule cleaning after dust-producing trades. Expect a top-down sequence. Allow for a touch-up pass where punch work continues. And judge the result under finished lighting, since work lighting hides exactly the film and residue a client will notice.
